As EPCOT continues to evolve, four neighborhoods will emerge: World Celebration, World Nature, World Discovery, and World Showcase.

Here’s a look at a map of the neighborhoods that Disney released when announcing the change.

When trying to answer the question of where the Imagination Pavilion sits in all of this, we see that it actually is contained within two different neighborhoods. As you can see in the image below, the Imagination Pavilion (with it’s unique glass pyramid structure) sits in both the World Nature (green) and World Celebration (blue) portions of the map. So, is the Imagination Pavilion in World Nature or World Celebration? Just like any good investigative work to be done at EPCOT, we look at the trash cans.

With the newly installed World Nature trash cans, we can actually visualize the difference between the neighborhoods. Seen below are some World Celebration trash cans (blue) along the western walkway towards World Celebration. A little further down the path, a green World Nature trash can comes into view showing that we’ve crossed into a new are of the park.

Using trash cans as our guide, we head over to the Imagination Pavilion to see which neighborhood it sits in. Approaching the attraction, we can see just how close to the line the attraction sits. On our left we have World Celebration trash cans, and on our right – World Nature trash cans.

It isn’t until we can see around the attraction sign that it becomes clear that the Imagination Pavilion resides in World Celebration! At least, according to the trash cans that is.

Now, as for a mystery that can’t be solved just yet: what does the future of the Imagination Pavilion look like at EPCOT? Anyone have any guesses?
