Biometric Finger Scanning Returns to Walt Disney World

|

Following the suspension of biometric finger scanning during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Disney is once again asking guests to scan their fingerprint as a part of entering Blizzard Beach water park.

It’s likely that biometric finger scanning will return to the theme parks as well in the near future.

Disney briefly tested a facial recognition park entry procedure, but it hasn’t been implemented beyond the limited test.

  1. Are they going to clean it after each person or every few person? Just think of how many people will be touching these and how many germs will be on them!! Covid cases are higher in Florida then anywhere else so this is not the time to bring touch scanners back!! They should go with the face scanner. That way no one has to touch anything!

  2. Sorry but I refuse to touch one of these things unless it is fully sanitized before I touch it! What the hell are Disney Managers thinking? it looks as they are not thinking!
