According to a report from FloridaPolitics, the Swan and Dolphin is being sued again in federal court over their cancelation policy.

As you might remember, the Swan and Dolphin was in hot water back in October 2020 over their refusal to waive cancellation fees for a conference scheduled to be held by Cambridge Investment Research Inc.

Now, the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) are taking them back to federal court over their refusal to waive a $1 million cancellation fee. The IOUE had scheduled an event at the hotel from January 27th through February 5, 2022, but notified that they would be canceling the event back in early December.

IUOE is citing concerns over the COVID-19 surge seen in Florida. The contract was originally inked in 2018 – long before the COVID-19 pandemic swept across the globe.
