One Missing Float Returns to Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom

One of the three floats that was recently missing from the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade has returned to the lineup at Magic Kingdom. The lead Princess Garden float has returned after weeks of maintenance. We stopped by Magic Kingdom today to watch the parade to see how it was doing after celebrating its 9th Anniversary last month.

As previously noted, the lead Princess unit has returned after weeks of Disney utilizing a rolling gazebo instead.

It’s unclear if the Merida/Brave float will ever return, but it hasn’t made an appearance since the theme parks closed in March 2020 for COVID-19. While we’d love to see the float return, we’re not overly optimistic that it will return. We’ll note its absence, but the fact that it’s missing isn’t a recent change or wholly unexpected. Another longtime missing float is Tick-Tock the Crocodile from the end of the Peter Pan unit.

One float that is still missing from the parade that has been utilized since the parade returned last year is the Fantasia/Pinocchio float. As of today, the float is still missing from the Festival of Fantasy Parade. We’re not sure when it’ll return, and Disney has not made any statements about any of the missing floats. Normally, you’d find the Fantasia/Pinocchio float between the Maleficent dragon float, and the finale Mickey and Minnie balloon float.
