Widespread Disney World Website Issues Reported With Phased Resumption of Annual Pass Sales

UPDATE: Disney has issued the following general statement about IT issues, “We are experiencing technical difficulties across multiple Disney online applications. Thank you for your patience.” Our original article continues below.

The Disney Vacation Club Sorcerer Pass was scheduled to go on sale this morning around 6am ET. While guests have been able to add the Sorcerer Pass to their cart, many were reporting the inability to check out. Now, the Disney World Annual Pass page has been removed and replaced with the typical “updates” message. While we’d expect to see the “updates” page below before sales, the fact that it has returned after sales started indicates an issue with the backend system.

For some reason, it does not look like Disney World utilized a Virtual Queue before this latest “updates” page was presented. It’s not immediately clear when sales will resume.

As a reminder, Disney Vacation Club Members were eligible to purchase an Annual Pass starting today, and general availability begins April 20th.
