A new walkway closure is now in effect at EPCOT, impacting how guests will travel between World Celebration, World Showcase, and the Imagination Pavilion area. We stopped by EPCOT earlier today and found the walkway closed with no known reopening date.

First, here’s a look at the closure area as seen against the EPCOT digital map. The walkway is closed along the southwest corner of World Celebration, blocking foot traffic between the Imagination Pavilion and World Showcase.

Here’s a look at the closure in photos. First, here’s a view from the World Showcase side of the wall, along the Rosewalk. The Imagination Pavilion would be to our left, and the CommuniCore Hall construction is right in front of us.

From the Imagination Pavilion side of the work, we can see that there is still access to the World Nature restrooms and the Toy Story topiary areas. There was signage and even a Cast Member stationed on the Imagination Pavilion side of the construction walls to assist you in finding a way out of the temporary dead end.

The work is likely related to the CommuniCore Hall construction, with the betting favorite being hardscape work to connect the existing walkways to the CommuniCore Plaza party area set to open sometime this year.
