After years and years of offering a Single Rider option for a select few attractions, Walt Disney World has recently decided to debut more information about Single Rider attractions both online and in-park. Prior to the change that went into effect this week, information about Single Rider offerings at Walt Disney World was often only available through third-party sites and the planDisney Q&A website.
Walt Disney World Debuts Official Single Rider Information
While visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios recently, something caught my eye when looking at the tip board with attraction wait times. A new-to-Walt-Disney-World logo was displayed next to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, designating that the attraction has a Single Rider option. The logo, which has previously been used by Disneyland, was not displayed on the tip boards at Walt Disney World until relatively recently.
As you can see in our photos below, a logo with an ‘S’ is displayed next to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run on the in-park tip board (wait time board). A ‘1’ is formed in the negative space of the logo. This is the logo that Disneyland has been using for some time. In fact, a newly published Single Rider webpage on the Walt Disney World website utilizes a URL pointing to the Disneyland version of the logo.
Guests can finally find official information about the Single Rider option at Walt Disney World. Even though the information on the Walt Disney World website and mobile app is incomplete, it is a start.
According to Cast Members we spoke with, the in-park Single Rider information on the wait time boards is designed to be dynamic, updating every minute or so like the wait times. For example, when we took the photos above, Smugglers Run was the only attraction with Single Rider available during the Early Entry period. Once the clock struck 9am, Single Rider opened at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and the wait time boards were updated.
Another example is that Single Rider wasn’t offered during the opening hour or so of regular park operations for Rise of the Resistance. Later today, the Single Rider option will open at Rise of the Resistance, and the wait time boards should be updated with the logo shortly after it becomes available.
Here’s a look at the limited Single Rider info available in the official My Disney Experience app. We had to search “Single Rider” to find it.
Officially, Walt Disney World currently lists the following attractions as having a Single Rider line:

- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure | EPCOT
- Expedition Everest | Disney’s Animal Kingdom
