Tower Crane Arrives, Encanto Attraction Construction Begins at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

|

Good afternoon from Disney’s Animal Kingdom, where a tower crane is now the predominant feature in the lush theme park’s skyline. The new crane is now in place to construct an all-new Encanto-themed attraction, coming to the Tropical Americas-themed land in 2027. In this article, we’ll combine on-the-ground photos with some recent aerial photos to showcase the latest work on this project.

Construction Begins for Encanto Attraction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

New aerial photos from Bioreconstruct show that work is underway on the construction of the Encanto-themed ride coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This is the first-ever Encanto ride at a Disney theme park, and it will be one of the marquee attractions at Disney’s Animal Kingdom once it opens in a couple of years.

We’ll start with a look at the site from the ground during a visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom this afternoon. A tower crane is visible from around Disney’s Animal Kingdom as work on the ride begins. We’ll start from outside the park, making our way closer to the construction site as we showcase different views of the crane.

Taking to the skies now, here’s a look at the site from a few days ago. The tower crane was being built, and work on the foundation was underway. Here’s a closer look!

Starting with a zoomed-out image, we can see that work is currently focused on the “back” of the construction site. The DINOSAUR attraction building can be seen in the lower left of the image. The Encanto attraction building will fit into a space between the DINOSAUR attraction (which will be rethemed to Indiana Jones) and the Finding Nemo show theater.
