New 2-Day Florida Resident Ticket Introduces More Restrictions & Higher Price at Walt Disney World

|

While the headline ticket deal for today is the return of the Discover Disney ticket, there is another ticket “deal” available for Florida Residents. However, this deal is so restrictive that I’m not really sure who the audience is for it. The ticket also comes at a higher price point than in years past. Here’s a look at the new 2-park, 2-day Walt Disney World ticket, and how it compares to previous years.

2-Park, 2-Day Florida Resident Ticket for Walt Disney World

I’ll start by conceding this – there really isn’t an apples-to-apples ticket deal to compare this ticket to due to the validity dates. Walt Disney World has rolled out 2-day ticket offers in the past for Florida Residents, but it has typically been reserved for the summer seasons. That said, this ticket “deal” still doesn’t seem like a great offer when the Discover Disney ticket exists. I normally don’t offer commentary on ticket deals, but this particular deal stuck out to me. Here’s why.

First, the nuts and bolts of the deal. Florida Residents can get a special 2-Day, 2-Park Ticket to EPCOT and Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park only for $190 plus tax (that’s $95 per day, plus tax).

When compared to the $64 per day 4-day Discover Disney, or $79 per day 3-day Discover Disney ticket, this doesn’t seem like a significant savings. That said, if you’re looking for an overall price, this 2-day, 2-park ticket does clock in under $200, which may be enticing.

When comparing this ticket to past 2-day, 2-park tickets, we’d have to compare to the 2023 2-day ticket ($80 per day). That ticket type also had theme park restrictions of Disney’s Animal Kingdom and EPCOT. A less fair comparison would be the 2025 Summer Magic ticket that was $105 per day for two days, but didn’t have theme park restrictions.

Either way, I’d probably opt for the 2026 Discover Disney ticket, driving the price down to just $64 per day, and enjoy all four Walt Disney World theme parks. Even a 3-day Discover Disney ticket has a much lower per-day cost and fewer restrictions than the 2-day, 2-park ticket. Here are the rest of the details for the 2-park, 2-day Florida Resident ticket, available now.
