The new product is called Disney Weather Check, powered by AccuWeather. It delivers weather intelligence through a customized mobile app and global enterprise platform, giving guests access to real-time forecasts and location-specific alerts during their visit.

What Is Disney Weather Check?
Disney Weather Check is a dedicated mobile app and enterprise weather platform built through a long-term licensing agreement between Disney Experiences and AccuWeather. Guests can download the app ahead of or during their visit to access customized, hyperlocal weather information designed specifically for Disney properties.
The app is built on the AccuWeather platform and activates Disney-specific features when guests are on property through geo-fencing technology.
Which Disney Properties Are Included?
The agreement covers five Disney properties:
- Walt Disney World Resort
- Disneyland Resort
- Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa
- Disney’s Vero Beach Resort
- Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort
Key App Features
The Disney Weather Check app includes several tools designed for guests on Disney properties:
- Geo-Fenced Experiences activate Disney Weather Check features automatically within the AccuWeather app when guests are on Disney property. Alerts are aligned with those used by Disney employees to initiate safety protocols.
- Custom Hourly Forecast provides property-specific hourly forecasts for each of the five covered resorts, supporting real-time decision-making.
- AccuWeather MinuteCast® delivers a hyperlocal precipitation forecast, including type, intensity, and precise start and end times for rain or snow over the next four hours, pinpointed to a guest’s GPS location.
- AccuWeather RealFeel® Temperature calculates a “feels like” temperature based on 14 factors, offering a more precise read than standard temperature indexes.
AccuWeather CEO Steven R. Smith said the partnership is aimed at helping guests plan their day with the most localized forecasts available, with continuous weather monitoring throughout their visit.
