EPCOT Christmas Tree Arrives with Subtle Changes for 2024 Holiday Season

It’s the holiday season at Walt Disney World, and while EPCOT won’t officially kick off the Festival of the Holidays until Nov. 29th, decorations are starting to arrive at the park, including the Christmas tree. We made it out to EPCOT recently to see the sad state of the World Celebration Gardens lighting, but we also stopped in to check out the tree, which has some subtle changes this year. Let’s take a look!

Before we get to the tree, some decor has arrived at the front of the park in the form of garlands and globes.

2024 EPCOT Christmas Tree

We actually got our first glimpse of the tree from the best vantage point – the monorail. As you can see, we arrived pretty close to sunset as the tree was just lighting up!

The tree looks similar to last year’s version, but as we get closer, we’ll notice a subtle change.

The subtle change this year is that the former Disney100 globes have been retrofitted to remove the Disney100 logo and replace it with the buildings of World Showcase. It’s a wonderful retrofit and something that we hope stays on the tree for years to come!

First, here’s a look back at the globes with the Disney100 logo, followed by their new look this year.

Other decor returns from years past with the familiar international flair!
