A brand new float has debuted at Sunshine Tree Terrace that features a name from the Pixar short Lava. We made it out to Magic Kingdom today and saw the new menu item and just had to try it! Here’s what we thought.

Orange DOLE Whip with Fanta Strawberry and Red Passion Fruit Syrup topped with Popping Candy
Replacing the Redd’s Revenge float is the I Lava You Float. The Fanta Strawberry base remains, but there are some new flavors here, starting with the Orange DOLE Whip. The Orange DOLE Whip is probably a more subtle flavor than the strawberry found in the Redd’s Revenge, but the orange flavor comes through enough and blends nicely with the Fanta Strawberry. The Red Passion fruit syrup almost instantly falls into the Fanta, without adding much to the flavor profile. The most interesting aspect of the treat is the pop rocks sprinkled on top. Kids and kids at heart will enjoy the pop rocks while making their way through the Orange DOLE Whip.
It may seem like a nice offering at first glance, but we don’t necessarily think that it’s interesting enough to reorder. While the classic Pineapple DOLE Whip remains eternally reorder-able, this is a one and done for us.
