Splash Mountain Reopens to Cold Temperatures and Large Crowds at Magic Kingdom

Splash Mountain is open! The ride reopened today after a months-long refurbishment that saw some roof work and resculpting of rocks.

Large crowds showed up at Magic Kingdom this morning to rope drop the ride on its first day back. Temperatures this morning in Magic Kingdom were in the low 50’s (low enough for Disney to close its water parks), but crowds showed up nonetheless to splash down into the Briar Patch!

One part of the attraction remains behind scrims this morning.

Are you looking forward to riding Splash Mountain again?
