As a way of adding some socially distanced entertainment to Disney Springs, Disney has added some Stormtroopers to a balcony in the Town Center section of the shopping and dining complex.
The Stormtroopers are perched high above guests and out of reach. This follows protocols developed at Shanghai Disneyland to inject characters and entertainment to the Disney experience without compromising social distancing.
The Stormtroopers started their 15-minute set at noon and had fun quips about every 90 seconds.
Even better was the fact that they found a way to include face masks in the fun by complimenting guests.
Unlike what we’ve seen at Shanghai Disneyland, there are no markers on the ground to encourage social distancing, but there is signage in the area. Most guests simply watch for a few seconds and then keep moving.
