As Disney Cast Members continue to return to work and prepare the theme parks for reopening, we have a new look inside three of the Walt Disney World theme parks thanks to Local 362 union President, Eric Clinton.
Clinton went through the parks this week to tour some of the new safety measures put in place around the theme parks as well as meet and talk with some of the custodial Cast Members that are back to work.
Many Cast Members are returning to work in the coming days ahead of planned soft openings ahead of a phased reopening to the public.
As always, keep checking back with us here at BlogMickey.com for the latest Disney Parks news and photos. We’ll continue to bring you news and photos, where possible, through the Disney Parks closure due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) and will resume our normal coverage once the parks reopen to guests on July 11th!
WE had a resort reservation back in January for June and was in the process of purchasing tickets then the virus came so I wasn’t able to get tickets. So we kept watching and then Disney started taking resort reservations again so we booked July, now we can’t get tickets to get into any of the parks during our stay because we didn’t already purchase any tickets, which doesn’t make any sense. Now it’s looking like we have to cancel our stay because Disney will not allow us to visit the parks. What a disappointment!
You may be able to call Disney and change it to a package.
I know what you mean , we had resort & park reservations made in February for my grandsons 7th birthday in May. Our trip got canceled by Disney before we were able to make reservations later this year. But oh by the way your trip insurance you pay for is “non refundable” . . . I thought you buy this in case a problem like this comes up but since it was never used it would get refunded as well since the trip never happened and insurance money was never used to pay for anything.
1st world problems haha. What a jerk!
My family of 13 is planning a trip to Disney World the last week in September.
Is there anything special that I need to do to insure we get into the park?
You need to have already purchased tickets and you need to ensure that every person in your party has a theme park reservation for every day of your visit. Without both, you won’t be able to get in
Doesn’t it cost more to open a park w/less rides and stores and visitors?? Not worth a trip till it’s up and running at full capacity.. sorry my opinion
My family was supposed to visit DISNEY world the beginning of May pushed off to September. Now we are moving it to May 2021as we are not comfortable coming with the uptick in COVID-19 numbers. My question is My family bought ticket from Shades if Green do you know how they will work with the new reservation rules? Any input would be great
They aren’t worried about costs, they’re worried about covid. That’s why it’s opening at limited capacity
Glad we went in December! If I’m going to pay $10k for a vacation, I’m not doing it with a mask on.
We have booked for beginning Oct 2020 but have no park tickets so no point going as doubt they’ll be selling tickets for a while yet
We had our trip planned for this past March, 10 days before our trip everything closed. We re-booked for November but thinking about cancelling and going next year. We don’t want to have to wear masks during out vacation. We will probably just go after this covid all goes away. Maybe in a year or two.
