Hong Kong Disneyland is quickly approaching its reopening date of June 18th, and as part of a media preview of the park, we have our first look at the still-under-construction Castle of Magical Dreams from Main Street USA as the finishing touches are applied.

To start, here’s a look back at Sleeping Beauty Castle back when we visited Hong Kong Disneyland in September 2018.

And here’s an updated look at the Castle of Magical Dreams (via @CyberbbLawrence).

Here’s a look back at the concept art and more info about the reimagining of Hong Kong Disneyland’s castle.

The castle is essentially an amalgamation of various styles representing 13 different Disney princesses. Each of these thematic architectural elements are inspired by the stories of much-loved Disney Princesses โ€” Tiana, Aurora, Ariel, Mulan, Jasmine, Snow White, Moana, Cinderella, Merida, Pocahontas, Belle, Rapunzel โ€” along with Anna and Elsa from Disneyโ€™s โ€œFrozenโ€ โ€” will all have their moment to shine in sequence throughout this summer. With special attention to the iconic patterns, textures, colors and ornamentation, guests will be able to recognize the individual elements inspired by their favorite Disney heroines, celebrating a sense of diversity, inclusion and unity.
