On the heels of the news that Disney would be opening Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure on October 1, 2021, Annual Passholders have snagged up all available Disney Park Pass reservations for EPCOT that day. According to the Disney Park Pass reservation calendar, EPCOT joins Magic Kingdom as being at capacity for Passholders on October 1st. Passholders have also snagged all of the available Disney Park Pass reservations for Magic Kingdom on October 2nd as well.
With October 1st marking the 50th Anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort, and by extension, Magic Kingdom it made sense for guests to want to be in Magic Kingdom on that date. Now, with the debut of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure scheduled for the same date, Disney fans are going to have to make a decision on which park they want to start their day in. Of course, Disney does currently allow park hopping after 2pm, so it’s possible that the devoted fan could experience both Magic Kingdom and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in the same day.
We’re still 7 months away from the 50th Anniversary celebrations, and with the encouraging vaccination news, we expect Disney to continue to evolve their operational safety guidelines throughout the Spring, Summer, and into the Fall season. It’s very possible that we could see more capacity added for the theme parks as vaccination rates continue to climb, but Disney has not announced any changes in capacity yet.
