Disney Cruise Line has recently updated their requirements for guests with unvaccinated children. Here’s the announcement:
Considering CDC guidance, Guests who are vaccinated and wish to disembark the ship with unvaccinated children will need to purchase a Disney Cruise Line Port Adventure, except when at Castaway Cay.
All Guests are required to be vaccinated in order to explore ports of call at their own leisure, except at Castaway Cay. Should Guests wish to explore with their unvaccinated children, they must purchase a Disney Cruise Line Port Adventure.

Port Adventures
Port Adventures—shore excursions specially selected by Disney Cruise Line—offer fun for everyone in the family. Here’s what you need to know when booking and participating in Port Adventures during your cruise.
Vaccination Status
Fully vaccinated Guests who wish to disembark the ship while in a port of call can do so without purchasing a Disney Cruise Line Port Adventure. Guests who are vaccinated and wish to disembark the ship with unvaccinated children will need to purchase a Disney Cruise Line Port Adventure. All Guests are required to adhere to local laws, regulations and protocols, including those related to health and safety, in place at the destination.
Reserving Port Adventures
- Before Setting Sail: Port Adventures can be reserved online or through the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, subject to availability.
- During Your Cruise: We strongly encourage you to reserve Port Adventures through the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Questions about a Port Adventure or need help with a booking? Once you’re on board and logged in to the Navigator app, you can communicate directly with a Port Adventures Crew Member via our new live chat feature or schedule an appointment to meet in person at the Port Adventures Desk.
Reduced Capacity
At this time, all Port Adventures will operate at reduced capacity. In addition, all Port Adventures will only include Disney Cruise Line Guests; there will be no blending of Guests from other cruise lines on these tours.
Availability
Port Adventures are subject to availability, which may change based on port regulations and operator limitations.
