REVIEW: New “Missing Cargo” and “Jungle Jaguar” Drinks Debut with Congo Queen Jungle Cruise Tiki Mug at Trader Sam’s

Today’s the day! After a long wait, fans of Trader Sam’s finally have a new mug to enjoy after a drought following the COVID-19 shutdowns. The new “Congo Queen” Jungle Cruise-inspired tiki mug is now available to purchase (while supplies last) and two new drinks are now available too to go with the new tiki mug. is told that the specialty drinks will only be around as long as the mugs are still for sale.

Congo Queen Tiki Mug – $48

Before we break out our straws, here’s a look at the Congo Queen tiki mug, now available at Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto and Tiki Terrace.

The Missing Cargo Drink (Alcoholic)

The Missing Cargo is the alcoholic drink that guests can choose to accompany their Congo Queen tiki mug. Note that the price of the Congo Queen Tiki Mug/drink combo remains the same whether you get an alcoholic drink, non-alcoholic drink, or even no beverage at all.

For the missing cargo, guests will find a tropical, rum-forward drink that probably would end up on the upper tier of “heavy” drinks at Trader Sam’s. That said, it was well-balanced and strong. In the drink, you’ll find Gosling Black Seal Rum and Real Mccoy Rum mixed with Lime and Grapefruit Juice. Cinnamon, Falernum, and Honey Mix Syrups join with Angostura Bitters, Pernod, and Soda Water.

We were pleasantly surprised at how strong the drink was while remaining drinkable to the masses like any good Disney drink.

Jungle Jaguar (Non-Alcoholic)

The non-alcoholic option is the Jungle Jaguar. This was noticeably more sweet with the absence of the rums in The Missing Cargo. Guests can expect to find Gold Peak Black Tea, Lemon Juice, Falernum Syrup, and Monin Red Passion Fruit in the Jungle Jaguar.

As demand remains, Disney will continue to use a pre-opening wristband distribution process that will allow you to purchase the Congo Queen and accompanying drinks. This morning, Disney Cast Members distributed wristbands shortly before 9:30am, but it’s unclear if they will continue to start that early in the day in the future. That said, plan on the wristband distribution policy to stay in place for the time being.
