During last night’s EARidescent Evenings Cast Member event at Hollywood Studios, Cast Members were the first to play test the new Batuu Bounty Hunters MagicBand+ game within Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. MagicBand+ will debut later this summer, but Disney has not shared any new info about the bands in months. Here’s the description of the game:
In the “Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters” experience, guests can join the Batuu Bounty Hunters’ Guild in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Using their MagicBand+ to find numerous virtual bounties hidden throughout Black Spire Outpost, guests will follow the band’s light patterns and haptics to complete their mission. Then they will return to the local guild master, who will reward them with galactic credits. Guests can also use the Play Disney Parks mobile app to help them reveal their virtual bounty using the app’s built-in augmented reality thermal viewer.
Here’s a look at the process courtesy of Cast Member Zach!
Guests will tap their MagicBand+ at the game portal that we’ve previously given you a first look at.
After getting the bounty, guests are directed to follow the feedback “hot/cold” colors on their MagicBand+ as they search for their bounty behind doors located around Batuu. We recently provided a first look at the Batuu Bounty Hunters’ guild mark that will be an additional indicator of bounty locations.
When you’ve collected your bounty, you’ll return to the speakeasy door and report the bounty to the guild master at the nearby speakeasy door. Here’s a first look at that interaction.
As always, keep checking back with us here at BlogMickey.com as we continue to bring you the latest news, photos, and info from around the Disney Parks!
