Sneak Peek at New Design for Refurbished Morocco Pavilion Fountain

As Disney wraps up work on the courtyard refurbishment of the Morocco Pavilion, we have an early look at the new design for the centerpiece fountain. As we’ve noted before, Disney has replaced the authentic tilework that was previously laid by Moroccan artisans with a rather pedestrian design that loses the authenticity that was part of the pavilion’s heritage.

First, here’s a look back at the authentic design that the fountain had for decades.

And here’s a look at the soon-to-be-unveiled new design of the fountain. When we visited, construction walls were still up, but they should be removed soon.
