While visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom this afternoon, we noticed that more work is taking place in the recently closed Dino-Rama section of DinoLand USA. Since the construction walls were installed earlier this week, work has been moving along at a good pace, with crews focused on stripping theming away before a more large-scale demolition. Here’s a look at the latest work taking place at the former Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures gift shop and the former TriceraTop Spin attraction.

Signage Stripped from Dinosaur Treasures Gift Shop

First, here’s a look at some of the signage before the area closed, via photos that will be included in a massive farewell article to the Dinosaur Treasures gift shop.

And here’s a look at the gift shop from our visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom this afternoon. Most of the signage has been removed from the rooftop visible from within the portion of DinoLand USA that remains open to guests.

TriceraTop Spin Continuing Demolition

Demolition continues at the former TriceraTop Spin attraction within the closed Dino-Rama area in DinoLand USA. Since we last checked in on the project, more paneling has been removed from the exterior of the ride, along with the theming being stripped away.

Here’s a look at the attraction as of this afternoon.
