Extinction has come for the Cementosaurus, which was demolished overnight at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The giant Brachiosaurus stood at one end of the now completely demolished Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama section of DinoLand USA. We made it out to Disney’s Animal Kingdom today to bring you photos of the demolition, as well as a first look at land clearing taking place to create room for an all-new Encanto-themed attraction set to open in 2027.
First, we’ll start with a look at the Cementosaurus when this area of Dino-Land USA was still open. For more photos, check out our farewell article to Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama.
Cementosaurus Demolished
Here’s a look at where the Cementosaurus used to be located following some of the early demolition. Crews demolished the Cementosaurus overnight. We’ll start with a look back at when it was standing, followed by our visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom today.
Here’s another before/after of the demolition of the Cementosaurus.
And another before/after before we take a peek at the demolition.
And here’s a look at the rubble from the demolition, with some green pieces visible from the former Cementosaurus structure.
DinoLand USA Land Clearing
We can also start to see some changes in the horizon as trees are removed from a berm that used to obstruct backstage views from the former Primeval Whirl attraction.
