Zootopia: Better Zoogether is now in previews at Disney’s Animal Kingdom before its November 7th debut to the general public, and we’ve been able to see the new show for ourselves! We’ll have a full review, including detailed photos, a full video, and our thoughts about the new show soon, but for now, we have a special video showcasing the all-new Benjamin Clawhauser Audio-Animatronic.
Zootopia: Better Zoogether “Clawhauser Cam”
One of the highlights of the new Zootopia-themed show is an all-new Audio-Animatronic. The figure is that of Benjamin Clawhauser, a supporting character in the Zootopia film. While Clawhauser is a receptionist and radio dispatcher for the Zootopia Police Department in the film, he’s also a massive fan of pop star Gazelle. In fact, the only thing he may love more than donuts is Gazelle!
In Zootopia: Better Zoogether, Clawhauser is “selected” from the audience to be the Very Important Zootopian during the Zoogether Day live stream (after he easily leaps in front of Flash the sloth). While Zootopia: Better Zoogether is a 3D film, there are “4D” effects in the theater. Impressively, Clawhauser is represented in Audio-Animatronic form during the vast majority of the show.
In order to celebrate the arrival of the Clawhauser Audio-Animatronic, we’ve put together a “Clawhauser Cam” video of the show. During the portions of the show where the Clawhauser Audio-Animatronic is visible, we have a camera trained just on Clawhauser, along with a video of the screen as well. Here’s a look!
Here are some photos of Benjamin Clawhauser from the Better Zoogether show. Clawhauser sits at a desk of sorts during the show, complete with a computer, a microphone, an audio mixer, a giant red button, and a mug that used to read “World’s Best Dad”, but now reads “World’s Best Host” thanks to some well-placed tape.
