Mulan and Rapunzel have officially arrived at Disney’s Hollywood Studios as proper character meet and greets. The two princesses are currently rotating at a location near the Disney Vacation Club kiosk on Grand Avenue, with daily meeting times listed directly in the My Disney Experience app. This is not a roaming character moment or a surprise pop-up, but a fully scheduled, designated meet and greet experience that guests can plan around ahead of their visit.
Mulan is appearing in the same costume she wears at the China Pavilion in EPCOT, while Rapunzel is greeting guests in her signature purple dress. Both characters are rotating at the same Grand Avenue location throughout the day.
An Early Warm-Up Before a Big Summer Opening
The timing of these meet-and-greets is notable. Mulan and Rapunzel are two of the featured characters within Off The Page. When that area opens, Mulan will take her place in the Story department, meeting guests in front of an oversized storyboard panel. Rapunzel will meet guests in the Layout department, in a setting inspired by the classic multiplane camera, where a specially designed photo opportunity will make the final image appear to have depth and layered dimension, just like the iconic animation technique itself.
The fact that both characters are now appearing on Grand Avenue before their permanent spaces are ready suggests Disney is warming them up for their new Hollywood Studios roles, giving guests an early opportunity to meet them and building anticipation for the full Off The Page experience ahead of its opening.

What Is Off The Page and The Magic of Disney Animation?
As we covered when Disney first announced the six new character meet and greets coming to Hollywood Studios, Off The Page is part of the larger Magic of Disney Animation experience, which is set to open in the building that previously housed the Star Wars: Launch Bay. The experience takes inspiration from the Emmy Award-winning short film Once Upon a Studio, building around the idea that the animators have stepped away and the characters have taken over the studio.
Inside, guests will find an enchanted art gallery where character portraits come to life, a theater screening Once Upon a Studio with added special effects, an Animation Academy featuring a new Olaf animatronic, and the Drawn to Wonderland play area for younger guests, inspired by Disney Legend Mary Blair’s original Alice in Wonderland concept art.
Off The Page sits at the heart of it all, with six animation department-themed spaces each hosting a character meet and greet. In addition to Mulan and Rapunzel, guests will be able to meet Chip and Dale, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck, Goofy, and Stitch, each in their own uniquely designed space representing a different stage of the animation process.
No official opening date has been announced for The Magic of Disney Animation or Off The Page beyond a general “later this summer” timeframe.
