As Animal Kingdom continues to dress up for the 2023 holiday season, decorations have arrived in Pandora – The World of Avatar. The tradition of decorating a portion of Pandora started in 2019 when the ex-pats living and working on the moon brought a little Christmastime fun to their home. This included a display of kitschy holiday décor at Pongu Pongu that combines vintage pieces from Earth with items handcrafted from materials indigenous to Pandora. Of course, it also introduced the world to the AMP Suit Santa, and there was no looking back.
We visited Disney’s Animal Kingdom recently to take a look around at the holiday decor. After snapping some photos of the Christmas Tree and main entrance decorations, we went straight to Pandora – The World of Avatar.
The only area within the land that is decorated is the “human” area near Pongu Pongu and Windtraders. As is the case throughout Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the holiday decor rewards the guest who stops for a minute and takes a closer look. There are a variety of decorations that utilize many different materials. Here’s a look around!
