New railing tables have started appearing around EPCOT’s World Showcase, giving festival guests another surface for food and drinks. We counted five installed so far, three near the Mexico Pavilion and two near the Germany Pavilion. Each one is a small shelf attached directly to an existing railing.
New Railing Tables Installed at EPCOT for Festivals

The table itself is a flat, wood-grain composite shelf. It bolts onto a pair of angled black metal brackets that clamp onto the railing itself. A pin and hook fastener secures each bracket in place, and the tabletop is held together with visible screws along its front and back edges. One corner of each table carries a small sign warning against sitting on the surface.
The timing of the installation lines up with the return of the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. These tables give guests a place to rest a plate or cup without hunting for a nearby ledge, table, or other surface. The new tables come as guests have little faith using the new solar-powered trash cans as makeshift tables. We tested the solar trash cans for that exact purpose and found them to work fine, but many guests aren’t convinced. These tables should help.
More tables could be on the way. We’d expect any further rollout to depend on where Disney can fit them. Having never really paid too close of attention to the railings of World Showcase until this morning, there don’t appear to be a lot of eligible areas. I’d imagine that the railing has to be a certain design, at a certain height, with no notable slope, and no curve in the railing. That eligible areas begin to narrow when those considerations are made.
