Two new restaurants are now under construction at Epcot. Both the Space-themed restaurant and a new Japanese restaurant have broken ground this week.
In Future World East, a new Space-themed restaurant has broken ground. Here’s a look at the construction barrier fencing visible from near Test Track.
A day after the above photos were taken, even more tree clearing was visible from inside the park.
While views from inside the park are limited, we were able to get a much better view from Test Track. You can even see the Guardians of the Galaxy roller coaster building in the background.
An aerial view of the area affected.
The new restaurant will be run by the Patina Group and will sit right next to Mission: SPACE.
Access to the new space restaurant will likely be from the right side of Mission: SPACE, seen below behind the chain on the right side of the image.
Over in World Showcase, Japan is getting a new restaurant. The all-new table service restaurant will offer guests a signature dining experience inspired by the natural beauty of Japan. The restaurant’s setting will draw from both nature and takumi, which means “artisan” in Japanese. This new restaurant will be operated by Mitsukoshi USA, which operates the merchandise, restaurants (Teppan EDO and Tokyo Dining) and kiosks in the Japan pavilion.
No opening dates have been announced for either restaurant, but keep it here for the latest info!
