U.S. Reportedly Aims to Open U.K. Travel for Holiday Season

According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, United States officials are aiming to open travel between New York City and London for the holiday season.

Opening up the travel corridor between the two major cities is reportedly a result of increased availability for COVID-19 testing, but it wouldn’t be without some restrictions. Travelers would reportedly be required to take a COVID-19 test before leaving and upon arrival. These tests would allow travelers to avoid lengthy quarantines.

While opening up travel between the two cities is hardly opening up the floodgates of international travel that Walt Disney World relies on, it would provide a route to Orlando that a significant portion of Disney’s UK visitor base could utilize. Plans are still being finalized and no official announcement has been made yet.
