Today is the final day of operation for The Chapeau (and The Confectionery) before an extensive refurbishment that is expected to last well into the summer months. Ahead of the closure, Disney has removed the embroidery machines at The Chapeau, outsourcing the work to the closed Curtain Call Collectibles shop nearby. Guests can still order embroidery at The Chapeau, but will have to come back later in the day as Cast Members work on the embroideries in batches – running the orders between the two shops.
Here’s a look back at the machines.
For guests looking to get embroidery work done beginning tomorrow, March 29th, you should head to Fantasy Faire near Mickey’s Philharmagic in Fantasyland.
As a reminder, The Confectionery and The Chapeau will be closed for refurbishment beginning tomorrow, March 29th. Disney has not given an end date for the refurbishment, but BlogMickey.com sources have indicated that there will be a lot of work done and that The Confectionery is expected to open before Disney World’s 50th Anniversary on October 1, 2021.
Guests will be able to find sweets in the Main Street Cinema during the closure of The Confectionery.
