Disney World Ends Temperature Checks Early Following Mask Rule Change

With guests now allowed to take off their masks in outdoor common areas, Walt Disney World has ended their temperature checks a day earlier than they planned to. Originally scheduled to end on May 16th, the temperature checks were deemed unnecessary now that face covering rules have been modified.

We spotted a change last night on the Walt Disney World website that would suggest that temperature screenings were suspended early, and AdventHealth employees reportedly received an email notifying them of the change shortly thereafter.

Previously, guests were prevented from entering the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks and restaurants if they registered a fever of 100.4F or higher. Temperature screenings were staffed by AdventHealth.

Temperature check tents remained in place, but were not staffed today.
