According to Reuters, the White House has confirmed that there will be no immediate changes to travel restrictions after rising COVID-19 case rates and concerns over the Delta variant. The news comes on the same day that Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings said that the county is in “crisis mode”.

“Given where we are today … with the Delta variant, we will maintain existing travel restrictions at this point,” White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki said on Monday. “Driven by the Delta variant, cases are rising here at home, particularly among those who are unvaccinated and appear likely continue to increase in the weeks ahead.”

At Walt Disney World, more offerings are slated to return this summer as excitement, and crowds, build ahead of Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary on October 1st. Disney has not announced any changes to their health and safety policy, which only requires face masks in very limited situations around their 48 square mile resort.
