After showing no hours past Christmas for almost two months, the Blizzard Beach operating schedule has been extended through January 1, 2022. According to BlogMickey.com sources, Typhoon Lagoon was originally scheduled to reopen in Fall 2021 after completing refurbishment work in mid-October. The work was thought to be completed and the pools refilled back in October for a November or December opening. Unfortunately, more roadblocks arose and Disney had to push a Typhoon Lagoon reopening to 2022.
While Typhoon Lagoon does not have an official reopening date yet, we expect that Blizzard Beach will close one day and Typhoon Lagoon will reopen the next. Currently, that means that with the Blizzard Beach operating schedule on the books through January 1, 2022, the earliest we expect Typhoon Lagoon to reopen will be January 2, 2022. That said, plans have changed in the past and they could change again.
