According to Scott Gustin, Disney World will be testing The Walt Disney World Railroad as part of the ongoing refurbishment of the system. The railroad was closed back in December 2018 to support TRON Lightcycle Run construction. Back in August 2021, the railroad passed 1,000 days closed.

Testing of the engines took place in August.
