Walt Disney Imagineering has filed a permit that calls for “utility isolation and demo” for the Spirit of Aloha dinner show building and a nearby costuming building. The work is one of the first steps of site preparation for a brand new Disney Vacation Club tower that will sit almost exactly where the dinner show used to be performed. D.H. Griffen Wrecking Co, Inc. is listed as the contractor for the demolition.
The new tower is scheduled to open sometime in late 2024.
Recently, we took a final stroll around the area where the tower will be built to take a last look at the area before demolition crews arrive.
