TRON Lightcycle Run Height Requirement Confirmed at Magic Kingdom

As we continue to watch construction progress toward an April 4, 2023 opening for TRON Lightcycle Run, the height requirement for the attraction has been confirmed. According to the height requirement measure outside of the attraction, TRON Lightcycle Run will have a 48″ height requirement. That means that TRON Lightcycle Run will have the tallest height requirement of any attraction at Magic Kingdom, and tied with Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster for the tallest height requirement of any Disney World theme park attraction.

TRON Lightycle Run has unique ride vehicles that likely play a critical part in the height requirement being as tall as it is. The ride vehicle uses a pad pressed on the rider’s back to secure riders into the vehicle. Of course, the unique design of the vehicle is also what separates it from other roller coasters that zip around in a dark box like Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.

TRON Lightcycle Run opens April 4, 2023 and there will be Cast Member and Annual Passholder previews before the official opening.
