As Disney World winds down its 50th Anniversary celebration this month, it remains to be seen how much of a celebration of the Disney100 Anniversary the resort will want to take on. Disney has already made it clear that Disneyland is the home of the Disney100 Anniversary, but it seems unlikely that The Walt Disney Company will not utilize its most-visited theme park complex to celebrate in some way.
Disney has already offered teases about how the Disney100 celebration will play out at Walt Disney World, and a new webpage has launched for guests to learn more about the Disney100 celebrations taking place at Walt Disney World. Unfortunately, the webpage doesn’t contain any new experiences or any new information that wasn’t already previously released. The webpage mainly highlights existing offerings at Walt Disney World such as Pandora – The World of Avatar, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, or Toy Story Land.
The webpage notes that Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary in April, and says that more information about the anniversary and Earth Day celebrations will be released soon. The page offers a link to shopDisney where guests can purchase Disney100 merchandise.
The webpage ends by reiterating that EPCOT will be the home of the Disney100 celebration “later this year”, and that Disney will “pay tribute to the brilliant storytellers who create Disney magic through exhilarating and heartwarming experiences”. Not mentioned on the website as of the time of publishing is anything about the new fireworks show coming to EPCOT specifically for the Disney100 celebration. You can find out more about the new fireworks show in our article below.
