While riding the monorail recently, we wanted to get an updated look at an ongoing construction project near the HeiHei parking lot at EPCOT. Land clearing began earlier this year for what we were told is an improved ride-share plaza. When completed later this year, the area seen in the photos below will reportedly be the new pickup and drop-off location for ride-share services at EPCOT. Currently, the ride-share area at EPCOT essentially takes over some parking spots at the front of the HeiHei lot.

Here’s a look at the current work, which has included some subterranean work and is now prepped for a concrete pour after bollards were installed.
