Imagineering Files Permit for Changes at Peter Pan’s Flight Attraction in Magic Kingdom

A new permit has been filed by Walt Disney Imagineering for the installation of “set elements” at the Peter Pan’s Flight attraction in Magic Kingdom. The permit lists InterAmerica Stage as the contractor and it has a standard expiration date of one year. InterAmerica stage has done countless installations for Disney over the years for new and refreshed attractions and shows. Most recently, they have been a part of the Country Bear Jamboree reimagining.

The permit doesn’t list exactly what will be done as part of the work beyond “install set elements”. It’s unclear if the work will be a refresh or replacement of current set pieces, or if there will be new set pieces as part of the work.

Back in 2021, we wrote an article about how Disneyland Paris digitally altered an official ride-through video to remove a depiction of a Native American. That move, along with other recently announced changes (at the time) to Splash Mountain and Jungle Cruise, made us think that Disney would turn their attention to Peter Pan’s Flight next, but nothing has happened yet.

Again, there is nothing in the permit to suggest what will be changing at Peter Pan’s Flight, but we’ll keep an eye out in the coming weeks and months for any changes.
