With the removal of the character flotillas, Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park rolled out a new park map. The new version of the park map includes new character info and imagery. The last time the park map was updated was back in March 2023.
New Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park Map (May 2024)
The new Disney’s Animal Kingdom park map includes the same background design and park tagline of “Alive with Magic”. A new cover image pictures two people riding Expedition Everest instead of the former cover, which featured the Tree of Life. Here are the changes on the front of the park map:
- New cover image
- Minnie Van information added to the Transportation section
- Character Flotillas removed from the Entertainment section
- Feathered Friends in Flight removed from the Entertainment section
- Character Greetings info added to the Entertainment section
- Finding Nemo: The Big Blue…and Beyond! info added to the Entertainment section
- New image for Tusker House Restaurant in the Dining section
On the back of the park map, the following changes have been made:
- Flotilla route removed from map
- New character meet and greet spot added for Goofy and Pluto
- New character meet and greet spot added for Pocahontas
- New character meet and greet spot added for Dug & Russell
