In addition to the normal lineup of character meet & greets at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, guests can find even more villains as a surprise & delight offering new to this year’s event. In this article, we’ll recount our experience during two of the early Not-So-Scary Party dates in August. Keep in mind that because these villains are “surprise & delight” offerings, they are subject to change.
More Villains & Where to Find Them at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
First, here’s Disney’s official stance on the enhanced villain’s presence at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party:
From the moment Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party begins and throughout Magic Kingdom, you’ll be able to spot your favorite sinister villains and ghoulish foes! Who knows, you might even get to take a selfie with them.
Cruella de Vil
Before the party officially begins, guests can encounter the very first villain of the night. Cruella de Vil greets guests at the Main Street USA bypass, which serves as the welcome mat for the party. Once inside Magic Kingdom, guests will be funneled toward the Main Street USA bypass, between The Confectionery and Tony’s Town Square Restaurant.
A DJ welcomes guests to the party and just before guests exit the bypass into Magic Kingdom, Cruella de Vil will be perched atop a podium, interacting with guests. A few of these villain interactions are “distanced” – some by just a few feet, and others a bit further. That said, some of the villains will give you a hug, handshake, or at least a dismissive look in a more traditional meet & greet setting.
Gaston
Over in Fantasyland, we found Gaston meeting near his tavern. Just like all of the villains in this article, meet & greet times for Gaston are not listed, but you can be sure that he won’t begin greeting until at least 7pm, and probably a little bit closer to 7:45pm as the sun begins to set.
Lady Tremaine
Unlike the other villains, Mother can be found at a traditional meet and greet area that is listed on the Not-So-Scary Party map. Lady Tremaine meets with Anastasia & Drizella, however, we met them in a different location than listed on the party map. When we visited, they were over near the Pinocchio Village Haus Fantasyland wall, and not near Bippity Boppity Boutique, as indicated on the map.
Hitchhiking Ghosts
We’ve already written a dedicated article about the Hitchhiking Ghosts and their presence at the party, but they are considered to be part of the surprise & delight character opportunities at the party. As noted in our earlier article, you can see them starting just after the party starts, all the way through the minutes leading up to midnight!
Maleficent & Evil Queen
Another dedicated article that we wrote was about Maleficent and the Evil Queen. Both meet at Princess Fairytale Hall, and they’re the best meet and greet at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Just like with any of the villains listed above, note that their location and availability may change.
