As part of the Back to Hogwarts celebration, new details and concept art have been released for the Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry attraction coming to Epic Universe next year. As previously announced, Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry will take guests through the Métro-Floo from Paris to the British Ministry of Magic where Dolores Umbridge is about to stand trial. In this newly released video, we get additional details about the queue and characters that guests will enjoy during the experience.
New Details! Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry
After traveling by Métro-Floo, guests will be able to walk through the full-scale British Ministry of Magic, including a stunning atrium space. Universal says that guests will be able to see flying memos and an enchanted weather ceiling. From the queue to the ride, the scale and detail is unmatched when it comes to Universal attractions.
Universal says that we’ll experience scenes familiar from the films, as well as scenes that we’ll experience for the first time during the experience. As we move through the queue, we’ll pass through the locker room, and we’ll find details that show that Harry, Ron, and Neville are in training to become Aurors.
Another room in the queue will be the Hall of Ministers, where previous Ministers of Magic will interact with each other in paintings. The eras will cover the 1700s to the 1980s.
In the Map Room, guests will find a magical, moving map of the Ministry.
Another room to experience will be the Aurors Headquarters, where we’ll see the magical world’s law enforcement wizards and witches gathering information for cases. This room will have plenty of details for fans of the Harry Potter series to discover, including some tributes to fallen Aurors.
Yet another room is Umbridge’s small, but ornate office within the Ministry. She’s on trial, but it’s in her office that we’ll meet a new character – Higgledy, Umbridge’s former house elf. Higgledy is packing up Umbridge’s office in preparation for the trial.
From Umbridge’s office, we’ll make our way to the lift station – which is where we’ll board the ride vehicle for the attraction portion of the experience. It’s in the lifts that we’ll be transported to the courtroom for Umbridge’s trial – if all goes according to plan.
On the ride, we’ll be right in the middle of the action thanks to magical, omnidirectional lifts to watch the trial take place…until Umbridge attempts to escape. Guests then join Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger and a house-elf named Higgledy in a thrilling chase that will propel them up, down, forward, backward, sideways and more throughout the Ministry as they try to capture Umbridge – all while dodging attacks from Death Eaters, rampaging creatures and more along the way.
Along the way, guests will encounter Harry Potter characters never-before-seen on an attraction such as Yaxley, Macnair, Kingsley Shacklebolt, and more! Dame Imelda Staunton has returned to reprise her role as Dolores Umbridge!

I can barely get through READING Order of the Phoenix because Umbridge is so horrible, let alone watch the movie. I don’t know if I could stand seeing her in person! 🤣🤣🤣
