The demolition, which lists Whiting-Turner as the contractor, calls for “facility demo” for addresses resolving to TriceraTop Spin and Fossil Fun Games within Dino-Rama in DinoLand USA.

Demolition Permits for DinoLand USA

Starting January 13th, construction walls will surround the Dino-Rama section of DinoLand USA as part of the first phase of the demolition of the existing offerings before construction of an Encanto-themed ride in this area.

January 12th will be the final day to experience the following attractions or offerings:

  • TriceraTop Spin
  • Fossil Fun Games
  • Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures Gift Shop

Walt Disney World previously filed a permit showing the future layout of the Tropical Americas-themed land, with a large building taking over the former Primeval Whirl plot and backstage areas for a new Encanto-themed attraction (middle-right of image below). That’s where Disney’s work will begin in just about a week.

Walt Disney World will focus on the Encanto-themed ride first. The theme park giant has announced that guests will have the entirety of 2025 to experience the DINOSAUR attraction before it closes for a retheme into an Indiana Jones-themed attraction.
