Walt Disney World has recently updated its website to reflect that Mickey’s PhilharMagic is no longer offered during the Early Entry period at Magic Kingdom. The change took place recently, with PhilharMagic being offered earlier this month. Here’s the latest, along with speculation as to why the attraction was removed.

Mickey’s PhilharMagic Removed from Early Entry at Magic Kingdom

Walt Disney World recently updated its website to reflect that Mickey’s PhilharMagic is no longer offered during the 30-minute Early Entry perk for resort guests. Instead, it opens with the rest of the park when regular guests are allowed to ride attractions starting at park opening.

As a reminder, Early Entry is an offering exclusively for Resort Guests, offering early access to select attractions at all four Walt Disney World theme parks, 30 minutes before the park opens to guests. Here’s the updated list of Early Entry attractions at Magic Kingdom following the removal of Mickey’s PhilharMagic.

Magic Kingdom Early Entry Attractions (Updated March 2026)

  • “it’s a small world”
  • Astro Orbiter
  • Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
  • Dumbo the Flying Elephant
  • Mad Tea Party
  • Peter Pan’s Flight
  • Prince Charming Regal Carrousel
  • Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
  • Space Mountain
  • The Barnstormer
  • The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
  • Tomorrowland Speedway
  • Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover
  • Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid
  • Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress

As for the why, we assume that the offering simply wasn’t popular enough. I’m not privy to Magic Kingdom operations to understand why it may be beneficial not to open Mickey’s PhilharMagic when most of the rest of Fantasyland is open, but I’m sure there’s a reason.

Walt Disney World did not return a request for comment about the change.

Mickey’s PhilharMagic is an 11-minute show at Magic Kingdom that utilizes 4D effects as guests are taken through iconic scenes from Disney’s animated films.

The adventure takes place in the Concert Hall in front of the 150-foot-wide, 180-degree seamless wraparound screen.

As the lights dim, we find Donald Duck fast asleep. When he dons Mickey’s Sorcerer’s Hat and decides to try his hand at conducting the concert, he’s suddenly plunged into a 3D dream world of classic Disney animated musical sequences.

Experience “Be Our Guest” from Beauty and the Beast, “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid, “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King” from The Lion King, and “You Can Fly” from Peter Pan -plus many more – presented in stunning 3D.

Mickey’s PhilharMagic features child-friendly, in-house special effects throughout the presentation. These effects, created to further immerse you in the adventure, include light splashes of water and other surprises.
