The 2022 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is underway, and as part of our coverage, we’re going to review the Food Studios. Here’s our Tangierine Café: Flavors of the Medina Food Studio Review.
Tangierine Café: Flavors of the Medina is a returning Food Studio and is located in the Morocco Pavilion.
Grilled Kebabs (Lamb Kefta or Harissa Chicken) – $5.75
Grilled Kebabs with Carrot-Chickpea Salad and Garlic Aïoli
The grilled kebabs return from the 2021 EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival, this time with a carrot-chickpea salad instead of couscous. The garlic aioli returns, smartly, and the kebabs are still wonderfully prepared. These are very good and worth a try!
Carrots Three Ways (NEW) – $4.25
Carrots Three Ways: Berbere-spiced Grilled Carrots, Pickled Carrots and Carrot Ginger Purée (plant-based)
High marks for carrots? Yep! We didn’t have high hopes for a dish of carrots, but these were wonderfully prepared and executed. The grilled carrots were particularly good and something we can definitely recommend.
House-Made Crispy Almond Phyllo Pockets (NEW) – $4.75
House-Made Crispy Almond Phyllo Pockets with White Chocolate Pomegranate and Milk Chocolate Orange
Another good dish here and solid dessert. The phyllo pockets have an incredibly flaky exterior that ultimately surrenders to a dense interior.
