PHOTOS: Vertical Construction Begins at Hollywood Studios Main Entrance

|

While visiting Hollywood Studios this afternoon we couldn’t help but notice a lot of noise and new vertical construction just outside of the main entrance. The construction is taking place in what used to be the old tram drop off area.

The area is mostly poles at the moment, but crews are working fast and have some of the structure completed closer to the ticketing booths.

With enough materials staged nearby, we expect to see the bones of the structure completed in the next day or two.

A reverse angle shows the structure and it’s position relative to the main entrance and ticketing booths.

It is believed that this area will be a new bag check area and a closer tram drop off. You can see the possible new tram drop off u-turn in the foreground of the following photo.
