The Osborne Lights started with Jennings Osborne in Arkansas in 1986. Jennings daughter’s wish that year was to see their house completely covered in lights. Jennings was determined to bring a smile to his daughters face and 1000 lights later he had covered their house in red lights. Every Christmas after that Jennings would add lights to his display. Quickly growing to over a million lights, traffic jams, and possible legal action, the Osborne Family Lights’ future looked like it was in jeopardy.
Disney heard of the magic that was happening in Arkansas and decided that they would offer Jennings a spot on (what was then) Residential Street in MGM Studios. In 2005, the Osborne Lights officially moved from Arkansas to Orlando, Florida.
The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights is free with park admission. Over 5 million lights line the Streets of America in this MUST SEE show. Are you looking forward to this years spectacle?
