Latest Look at International Gateway Expanded Bag Check Construction in Epcot

With seemingly less than 2 weeks until their deadline, crews are hard at work on the expanded bag check area at International Gateway. It’s thought that Disney has an internal target date of September 29th or before for the new bag check area to be open by. As you might know, September 29th is the announced first day of operation for the Disney Skyliner gondola system at Walt Disney World. With one of the Disney Skyliner stations just steps away, Disney will likely want to move bag check at International Gateway from a temporary location to the new, expanded structure by opening day.

The current guest walkway goes around the construction, but one of the structures has been expanded over the temporary walkway. It’s likely that this structure, which is closer to Epcot than the uncovered structure seen above, will be where the tappoints are installed.
