We have a brand new rumor into the newsroom today that says we’ll see three new “Disneyland After Dark” themes in 2020.
To recap, Disneyland After Dark is a special after-hours parks experience featuring unique entertainment, specialty food, collectible merchandise and more. In 2019, Disneyland hosted a few of these “after dark” events, including a Sweethearts Nite, 90s Nite, and Heroes Assemble event at Disney California Adventure. Each night is specifically tailored to the theme and typically runs late into the night.
Today, our sources have indicated that three new themes will be in place for the 2020 version of the event.
- Disneyland After Dark: 80’s Night
- Disneyland After Dark: PIXAR Nite at Disney California Adventure Park
- Disneyland After Dark: Villains Nite at Disney California Adventure Park
While we don’t have the exact dates for the events yet, we expect that Disney will make the announcement for the events in the next month or so. Disney announced the 2019 themes in November 2018.
As always, you should treat this and any rumor as unofficial unless and until Disney confirms our story.
Hi, always exciting to hear anything about new or upcomming events we have never experienced before. But, i can’t help wonder, will there be an extra charge for these events? Like the Halloween special event? Wristbands, special ticket, purchases sold in advance? Extra charge? Specific dates?
Those types of rules make it challenging to participate
You must know there’s going to be an extra charge for this. Disneyland used to do events after dark for free for AP’s but that has been years. They charge so much for these events now.
I went to sweethearts night last year. It started in the evening. They kicked everyone else out of the park, so wait times for rides was very short. There were also some cool free souvenirs included. Yes we all had special wristbands.
