Epcot continues to be a maze of construction walls and we wanted to take an elevated look at the work taking place right in front of MouseGear. Of course, MouseGear sort of still exists via a temporary location near the Electric Umbrella restaurant.

Nonetheless, Disney is in the process of gutting the structure that we all know as MouseGear right now as they work to overhaul the location.

As you might know, Disney has recently adjusted the construction walls, which has blocked the walkways that use to pass right by MouseGear. We have an on-the-ground look at the changes in a recent post, but here’s a look from the monorail looking north towards Spaceship Earth showing the entire area blocked off.

As the monorail continues clockwise around the Epcot spine area, we get a look at the area where the Fountain of Nations use to reside.

Since the completion of the phase one demolition of the Innoventions West structure, we get a clear view of the MouseGear structure, which is expected to stay standing, while receiving a new look, inside and out.

Here’s a closer look at one of the entrances to MouseGear where debris from the gutting has been loaded into garbage containers.

Here’s a look towards the north end of MouseGear.

Here’s a closer look at some of the recent changes to the area, starting with a look towards “the bubble”, which is a circular part of MouseGear that has been gutted. As you can also see, some demolition of the pathway has begun.
